I know it is cliche but seriously, can you believe that the holiday season is upon us already? It has been a wild couple of years with this pandemic and I don’t know about you but I am more than ready to take some time to celebrate what is most important this holiday season!
As I am wrapping up my first year working full-time in real estate here in Mount Pleasant I am so grateful that I have had the honor of helping so many families relocate to our sensational seaside suburb. But as I have been reflecting, it got me to thinking that many of those families don’t yet realize how many awesome ways there are to celebrate the season in and around Mount Pleasant. Well, I can’t just stand by and let that happen so today I am serving up my list of ideas to help all of you make the absolute most of the holidays this year and every year to come.
Kick-Off The Season With The Old Village Holiday StreetFest
One of the best local events of the season is the Old Village Holiday StreetFest. I’ll take any excuse to spend time in The Old Village because it is just so lovely. Every year Pitt Street is transformed into a festival where the whole family can come out to enjoy some live music, food, local artists, shopping, cocktails, movies and the star of the show; Santa. There is no charge to get into the event but bring your wallets so you can enjoy the various vendors that are featured each year. It is always a fun family night out in early to mid December.
Take The Kids To The Christmas Parade
What kid doesn’t love a parade?! One of the many reasons that I am so passionate about helping families in particular to relocate to Mount Pleasant is that I am such a big believer that it is a wonderful place for kids to grow up. There are always wholesome events that allow kids to really be a kid in an age where we live with our faces in screens. The Christmas parade is always a huge hit for the kids and it really has a way of getting you in the mood of the season so make sure you make time to come out.
Curl Up Together At The Town Of Mount Pleasant’s Annual Holiday Movie Night
Looking for a fun but relaxing way to ring in the Holiday season? One option is to attend the annual Mount Pleasant Holiday Movie Night. The whole family can come out to the Moultrie Middle School football field which gets transformed into a community movie theater. You’re going to want to bring seats and some blankets to keep you warm. You can either pack your own snacks to enjoy or you can purchase treats there.
