I love, love, love the architecture and overall design of The Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina because I feel like it perfectly represents the history of Mount Pleasant. The wraparound porches are absolutely to die for and they are the perfect spot for unwinding after a long day or for posing for pictures during the shower. The bar at The Beach Club offers a wonderful menu of craft cocktails and they could probably design a custom craft cocktail for the shower if you choose.
The Mill Street Tavern
Another one of my favorite local places to grab a bite that is also perfect for throwing an event like a baby shower is The Mill Street Tavern. First of all, it is absolutely beautiful because it is located right along the banks of historic Shem Creek where you can indulge in some of the best views around. The main dining room has honored the views with wall to wall windows so you can enjoy them without worrying about getting rained out. There is also the option of the lounge and veranda which is a bit more on the casual side. In terms of food they have everything from seafood to burgers and sandwiches and everything is delicious.
The Carolina Girl Yacht
If the mommy-to-be is confident she won’t be sea sick then I also love the idea of renting out The Carolina Girl Yacht for your baby shower. I have seen them handle all kids of different events on The Carolina Girl from the most casual to the most elegant so you can customize it to fit your needs. Of course they offer food and beverage packages so it can quickly turn into a one-stop-shop and you won’t need to decorate all that much because those water views will take care of it for you.
The White Room
